Hi there...
I'm a storyteller, so let me tell you about how I came into broadcast journalism and what it means to me.

All About Me
I am a first-generation graduate Latina born in Chicago who has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and did a year of my Masters in American University for Digital Journalism. I have worked in both law firms and in newsrooms, and I found walking into my internship at Voice of America I felt like I fit in, and I knew that broadcast journalism was for me. My family was against me pursuing my dream, but that didn't stop me from pushing forward and seeing it through. Over the years I have matured, and grown in my professional career. I hope to inspire other people who wish to follow their dreams, and I enjoy telling the stories of the community to make a difference. The impact we have is tremendous and it can change lives. That's what keeps me going.
